I’m with the critiquer on all points, including the one about Thurber being a lot of different things to different people. I hadn’t known of this book and I WANNIT! My Thurber is made up of cartoon captions. “I didn’t know their marriage had been blessed with issue until their little daughter stabbed the Superintendant of Schools.” And “I want to be a femme fatale, but I don’t want to get mixed up with MEN!”

And, of course, “The Last Flower.”
