Memorials

Yesterday we had a memorial service for Gizmo and other lost pets, John Caspell and other of his relatives, Unca Dave and others, and Granny and others.  I know, it sounds kind of weird, but it was a very good memorial and I cried buckets.  Then we sang and played, including Orphan Girl and Hallelujah.  Paul brought the 12 string Guild (a MANNNNN’s guitar) and played It Takes a Lot to Laugh it Takes a Train to Cry, and Wild Mountain Thyme, and Willie’s Diamond Joe, and much else.  It was a moving and challenging day, and we all got through it okay, but I could have done without Auntie Mary saying that she couldn’t go through another one of those again and can she please go first.

Love and loss let us know what’s important.  Love each other while you can!
