I’m not fond of caged birds but I’m passionate about wild ones. This story makes me very fond indeed of the people who combined wild and caged uniquely.

I forwarded the link to a bird raising colleague; he says you need nerves of steel and no pain threshold to speak of if you’re going to raise parrots. When I was talking to Drummer Grl last night, she said that a buddy of HERS had a parrot who plotted escape by HIDING A SCREWDRIVER in its bedding. Unfortunately it couldn’t tell the difference between a slot head and a Phillips so plotting was all it could do. They really are remarkably intelligent animals.
