Wow! Quite a man. In just one day, he will have touched the lives of so many students and faculty in a way that will last a lifetime.
Cancer, mes amis, is just “part of life’s rich pageant.”
For once, I won’t call for recognition of the quote. I laid that one on RW in Toronto and was told it was FIRST SAID by Peter Sellers in a Pink Panther movie. I was startled, having earlier given it another attribution. Perfection, it seems, is far from achievement in this matter at least. I am probably perfect in other ways.
And for some reason that reminds me of Ashleigh Brilliant. Sounds like something he might say, but I am not going to look it up.
“I may not be perfect, but parts of me are excellent”.
I still think the best Brilliant quote is “Make yourself useful to your oppressors until you are strong enough to overthrow them”. Kind of a counterpoint to Audre Lord’s “Unused privilege is a tool in the hands of your oppressors”.
How come _I_ knew that it was a Peter Sellers quote?
