Hey mOm remember these cards?

I remember being a kid in the basement in Ottawa and playing with some of these after mOm said she didn’t need them anymore.

I remember her using them when we lived in London. She explained how they worked and I played around with them a bit. Later, I worked on a spreadsheet application that did the same thing. In the intervening time, personal computers arrived on the scene.

I began using McBee Cards to record my reading of professional journal articles when I started the undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa – that would be 1965. I discarded them when we retired and moved here. It took me that long to discard my thesis data as well. All I have left now is the elegantly bound thesis and I can’t understand a word of it.
