I read the write up and listened to the video clip (very interesting), but I did not hear the earliest recorded song. Has it not yet been released for public consumption?

CBC had the recording on the news last night. There is a metaphor to be found in that recording being on smoke, and the present recordings being – what? I leave the completion of the metaphor to those with more metaphorical minds.
