Various conundrums

Life has a way of posing problems and then not pausing while it poses some more.  That, in brief, is my life at the moment.

Pic is of a local ‘tree’ – actually a phone pole covered in dead vines – called “Cousin Itt”.

  1. VERY cousin Itt-ish. These poles or trees covered with dead ivy are remarkably rich ecologically – trees the more so, I would think given that they would rot more quickly being untreated. Various birds will have a lovely time. When were the ivy roots cut? Takes about three years for the whole to die and all the leaves to be gone. A Cousin Itt in our line of sight is now at the stage of the tips of the ivy branches breaking off and it’s four years since the roots were cut.

  2. It’s been like that since we moved here. I’m kinda saying goodbye to the neighbourhood. I am looking at another apartment tomorrow – this one is NICE in a fabulous location and not outrageously expensive considering it’s in a new building.
