Unca Dave

The dreadful family news keeps piling up.  He’s been diagnosed with cancer.  Paul will be giving him a call later.  I feel blank and stupid, like all the air’s been sucked out of the room.

  2. I spoke to him last night and he’s as cheerful as ever. Honestly, I don’t know what the hell they put in the water in the Prairies, but it grows people with dignity and durability like I’ve never witnessed.
