I should make a list of the items that have become obsolete in my lifetime, McBee Keysort being only one. It was useful, it its day. Cumbersome, but dependable. Probably its single function could be handled now on a phone ap. Since nowhere in the world now is without the possibility of phone aps, it has sunk without a trace, with detritus, unlike obsolete computers, fully recyclable. Thereupon hangs a possible riff on obsolescence.
There’s a whole bunch of tech heads who specialize in ‘ancient tech’. Happy sigh.
