  1. Doesn’t Vancouver have a similar program for drug addicts giving them access to clean needles, a place to get in off the streets and possible placement in treatment if the addict chooses?

  2. Mostly. Harper and his gang of Calvinist evolution deniers wants every addict to suffer suffer suffer, and if they spread HIV and hepatitis and car theft and property crime and ambulance rides and bed bugs into every corner of Vancouver, well that’s our lookout, isn’t it.

Every time an addict comes in contact with a health care or social worker who really wants to help him or her get off drugs, it increases the chances it will ‘take.’ Addiction is a failure of socialization, in my view. Or, to put it another way, be addicted as you like as long as you’re not messing around with the lives of others… hard to do- but not impossible….
