I hear the Wall Arch along the Devil’s Trail in Utah has succumbed to time and erosion, so another visual icon of the American West has fallen. I’m glad various photography friends had a chance to get pictures first.

Our house has been taking the biggest shakes I have ever experienced in Ottawa. Turns out the neighbours up the street are having the back yard excavated for a swimming pool. WTF are they using — dynamite???
Anyone heard from Bob Stark (Evelyn’s brother)? I’m not sure, but I think his house on Calais Ave. is within the evacuation zone.
The Starks live smack dab in the center of the evacuation area; I just checked on google maps; as in, really, really close to the storage depot. I hope they are okay and we should really contact the Red Cross or the ESS people.
I should say they DID live on Calais, I don’t know if they still do.
