Hung out with Paul and Keith last night – they came and got me from the spinal clinic.  It was very good to see Keith, even if he was snotty to the bartender when the bartender asked what a Shirley Temple was.  Keith is very much enjoying his work.  He’s still working at Stuporstore, but that’s because he gets benefits from Superstore and he’s still on probation at the optical place.  Not hiding behind a door when the brains got issued, that’s our lad Keith.  Mike phoned and asked me Is It True?  about the purchase of the company which cannot be named by an immense sprawling conglomerate which cannot be named.  I said, hell yeah, and he said some very funny stuff about the likelihood of the transaction being completed which I alas cannot repeat.  Work was much better yesterday but still was a challenge.  I have to leave EVEN EARLIER for work today which is why I am blogging before 5 am, guh.  The downstairs tenants cleared out the last of their crap last night; the landpeer was following them around sounding anxious and bossy but I couldn’t hear what he was saying.  All I can say is thank heavens it’s a long weekend, I want to curl up in bed and ignore the universe for a couple of days.  This is probably the time I should go to the library and get a card….. I have one for Burnaby and New West, why not Vancouver?  I miss my lunch buddies, my change in hours for the duration of the back treatment means I don’t see them for lunch.  Can you believe it? My stock options are finally worth something.  For about a day I thought it might be a lot of money, now it’s just enough money to pay for the trip to France.  Sometimes you get a reward just for showing up.
