I’m having a hard time with a page that contains the phrase “neurotoxic amino acids” and tries to use a vague warning against high-dose supplement use in pregnant women to make formula with trace amounts of MSG sound scary. Breastmilk contains glutamic acid too, at much higher levels than all those formulae except the hypoallergenic one, which has similar levels. I mean, no argument that breastfeeding rocks, but scare tactics and bad science make my teeth ache. Okay, maybe that was the fillings I got last week.

    Those shoes look so awesome. But I bet your toes would be cold. I was so disappointed to find that my toe-socks made my toes freeze.

  3. I can’t imagine those neoprene toe socks being comfortable. There is not enough room betwwen my toes, especially 2 on the outside edge, to accommodate 2 layers of neoprene

  4. Yeah, I was thinking those shoes would allow me to go into the woods like I still belonged, i.e. before man started standing upright and still had pads on their feet THEN I realized they don’t make a narrow width (AA).

  5. Robof9 says they are ‘weird but comfy’. I just like the idea of them; I’m not sure I’d be spending $90 on them.
