Impressive. ‘minds me of Loki’s observation decades ago about the attitude of the military which was, in essence: If WWII ever comes again, we’re ready. This was at a time when the first satellites were orbiting, changing forever the nature of warfare. But was this fact taken into account in military planning. Nope. The establishment, BY ITS NATURE, cannot grasp the implications of new technology or anything new; it is embedded in the past and its entitlements are of the past. Corporations fund politicians who appoint judges who protect the rights of the establishment – closed circle. Democracy, if it can indeed survive these hideous facts, will come from the blogosphere and its technological kin.
