Snow in Japan

Oddly enough, it snows in Japan, too.  Dense snow followed by cold and steady winds under bright sunshine used to do things like this in Ottawa when I was growing up.  Can’t recall seeing it since. There’s something rather… hobbitty about this pic, if I may say so.  Fwd from Cousin Gerald.
