I have been enjoying Venus as the “evening star” these clear nights.
Which reminds me of a conversation with a handsome and charming man at a bus, who by his accent had at least been schooled in Britain, but obviously hadn’t got far or hadn’t paid attention.
I had to explain to him the difference between stars and planets, and what the moon was.
*sigh*
It confronts me with my intellectual elitism. Doesn’t matter how charming or good-looking they may be, they must be not only intelligent, but reasonably well-educated to boot.
